How it Works
Our dedicated team ensures smooth group
operations and provides expert dementia
knowledge to make the experience safe and
enjoyable for everyone.
Engage in a 2-hour session tailored to
benefit members, volunteers, and the club.
Sessions can be held weekly or monthly,
starting with a monthly frequency initially to
manage costs and volunteer commitment.
To maintain a personalized experience, each
session is capped at 10 members. Members
must book in advance, allowing better
control over the number attending.
With a ratio of 1:1, our volunteers, who are
experienced golfers themselves, provide
individualized attention to members,
ensuring safety and appropriate support.
Enjoy the driving range, putting area, and
designated holes based on members’
capabilities. Volunteers assist with
equipment selection, guiding members, and
providing instructions tailored to their
abilities.
After the session, relax and socialize in the
clubhouse. Enjoy tea, coffee, water, and
delicious biscuits and cakes while
connecting with other carers and accessing
valuable support resources.
The group meets throughout the year,
fostering continuity, reducing isolation, and
promoting overall well-being. During
inclement weather, indoor activities like
dominoes and puzzles keep members
engaged.
Stay informed about local services and
resources available to carers, ensuring
additional support is accessible to those
who need it.
